Digital Stretch Goals Sent, Plus More!
11 months ago – Tue, Dec 02, 2025 at 02:41:43 PM

Hello Awesome Backers:

The funds have cleared from Kickstarter, so I wanted to let you know where we were at:

Digital Stretch Goals were sent via KS messaging on Friday, Nov. 28. Please check your inboxes for them.
Magnets have arrived, and they look great.
Lapel pins arrived. Here's a close up photo.

Metal Covers: They are in production and should arrive in a few weeks.
Variant Covers: Proofs are approved and should arrive by the end of the month give or take a week.
Standard Covers: Proofs are approved and should also arrive by the end of the month give or take a week..

This is an estimate as the holidays tend to delay delivery.

Backerkit Surveys

They will be sent right after Christmas. I will post an update when they go out. I plan on shipping after Jan. 16, 2026. The reason for that is the holiday postage increase will end and we'll be back to normal prices.

That's it for now. Thank you.

Best, Madeleine

Updates! Updates! Updates!

Hello Awesome Backers:

It will be another week before the funds are cleared, but here's what's happening...

Magnets and lapel pins have been ordered.
Metal covers have been ordered.
Standard and variant covers of issues 3 and 4 are in the process of being ordered. I will be using a domestic printer this time. They are the same folks who printed the variant for Morgana Pendragon #1 which looked great. It will still take at least a month for the books to arrive which still put us on track for a January 2026 fulfillment date.
Backerkit surveys will go out mid-to-late December.
Digital stretch goal rewards will go out to you via Kickstarter messaging once funds have cleared. I'll post an update when that's been done.

I think that's it for now, but be sure to check out these fabulous campaigns going on right now.

RECOMMENDED KICKSTARTERS

Our friends over at Laguna Studios have launched a new issue of one of my favorite indie comics.

The Surgeon #1-7: Post-Apocalyptic Samurai Western

An American myth, postapocalyptic Western, mixed with a ronin samurai tale, and the lingering hungover tinnitus of rock n’ roll.

About fifteen years after the world fell apart, Dr. Jenny Hanover struggles to survive in a savage frontier of the poor and powerless, trying to balance her calling as a healer with the necessity of killing for survival. Maybe she’s become more skilled with a saber than with a scalpel. But life's about to get stranger for the good doctor...

Floaters (A Body Horror One Shot)

The horrifying story of how eye floaters destroyed one man's life.

Conceived in hospital waiting rooms during a grueling 17-hour ordeal—one filled with endless tests, and the constant fear that I might lose my sight—Floaters is a 28-page, one-shot horror story born from that anxiety. In this tale, the harmless specks we see drifting across our vision are revealed to be parasitic entities that infiltrate the mind, slowly corrupting their host and driving them to unspeakable acts.

Thank you again, and Happy Thanksgiving for those in the U.S.

Hello Awesome Backers:

Thank you so much for believing in this project. It means the world to me.

What Happens Next

Kickstarter will be charging your credit cards so please make sure your credit card information is up-to-date.

(Note: Please be aware that Kickstarter only gives you a week to update your credit card, otherwise your pledge is dropped, and you miss out on all the goodies.)

DIGITAL STRETCH GOALS

Digital stretch goals will be sent through Kickstarter messaging once the money has cleared into my account. (That takes about 10 to 14 days.)

LAPEL PINS and MAGNETS

Both will be ordered within the next two weeks. I will let you know when they arrive.

FULFILLMENT AND SURVEYS

I will not be sending out surveys until we get closer to the fulfillment date of January 2026. I will post an update when they are sent out, but it should be toward the end of December.

As I mentioned before, pre-press is done for both issues, but I'll give the files a final once over before they head off to the printers. I will keep you posted on their status in about a week.

I think that's it for housekeeping.

Once again, thank you. More to come.

Best, Madeleine

Two Days Left! Final Stretch Goal Reached! And More News!
11 months ago – Tue, Nov 11, 2025 at 01:26:53 PM

Hello Awesome Backers:

We did it. We made our final stretch goal. Which means everyone who has pledged to a reward will receive eighteen (18) additional digital indie comics, and if you pledged to a physical reward, you'll also receive the two magnets. Yah!

With only two days to go, I think we've reached our limit for stretch goals. Once the campaign wraps up toward the end of the week, I'll send an update mapping out my fulfillment plans. So be on the lookout for that.

I do have a couple of fun things to share. I wrote a short comic for the upcoming anthology on Kickstarter, "Holiday Spirits - Monsters Special." I chose Medusa, and had a great time writing it. Be sure to sign up below to be notified when it launches.

UPCOMING AND CURRENT CAMPAIGNS

HOLIDAY SPIRITS - MONSTERS SPECIAL

How does DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN, GRIM REAPER, SPRING HEEL JACK, BIGFOOT, LOCH NESS, MOTHMAN, MEDUSA and more celebrate the holidays.

Here's a sneak peek at two of the Medusa panels with art by Elias Gambit Melendez.

AND I absolutely cannot forget that the fabulous Charlie Stickney (White Ash, Glarien, The Adept, and more) has a new campaign out to finish off The Game. I love his work, and you will too.

The Game 1-5: The sexy, sci-fi thriller's complete first arc

In the game of life, no one's been keeping score... until now. From the creators of White Ash and Glarien. Welcome to THE GAME.

Written by Charlie Stickney with art by Mauricio Mora, the 28 page fifth issue wraps up the first arc of the story of the down on his luck Eli, who on his thirtieth birthday is told he's Player Number 3 in a game that's been going for over a thousand years. And that he needs to figure out the rules pretty quick if he wants to survive.

More to come. Thank you.

Heading Into the Last Week - Update
12 months ago – Fri, Nov 07, 2025 at 08:03:00 AM

Hello Awesome Backers:

Since we are heading into our last week and our final stretch goal, I wanted to give you a brief update. I will probably be repeating much of this later, but I want it to reach as many backers as possible.

Lapel Pins: I have the proof and will be ordering them right after the campaign ends.

Magnets: I will also be ordering those right after the campaign ends.

Printing: The pre-press is done for both issues 3 and 4. I'm looking at domestic printers this time around. Once the campaign is over, I will decide which one I will use. The one I had used for the Morgana Pendragon variant cover did a great job, and they were based in the U.S.

We are still a bit shy of our last stretch goal, so please keep sharing and spreading the word.

Before you go, please be sure to check out these cool campaigns that are live right now.
